Milestones Matter
Watch, Understand, and Act ..... Because Milestones Matter!
Milestones Matter is a public service campaign spearheaded by the
United Way of Wyoming Valley’s Success By 6 initiative.
The goal of the Milestones Matter campaign is to raise public awareness about the importance of early identification of critical childhood milestones. Studies show that 90% of brain development occurs before kindergarten, so identifying delays at an early age is critical for a higher level of success later in life.
With the support of WBRE-TV and NEPA Family Magazine, the Milestones Matter campaign has produced a series of public service announcements encouraging parents to learn more about early childhood developmental milestones.
In addition, we are providing links to general age-specific milestones, as well as PDFs of these milestones you can print, fill out and take to your next pediatrician visit.
For specific age-related milestone information, talk to your pediatrician or call 570-829-1341.
