please…  Reinvent Me.

I look in the mirror and I don’t like the reflection peering back at me.  It’s not just what I see on the surface, it goes deeper than that.  I’m not pleased by the extra pounds I could not shed after the birth of my youngest (although I’m entirely grateful for the reason for those pounds).  And although I’m inspired, energized and find immense pleasure in my busy lifestyle, finding time to plan and prepare nutritious meals – let alone squeeze in even a few moments of daily exercise – is a foreign concept.

My children have successfully made the crevices of my laugh lines that much deeper, but my reflection now reveals some worry lines as well.  The emotions that have created those worry lines are a whole matter within themselves.  Apparently, my often stressful lifestyle has slowly played a toll on me while I was not looking...  leaving me with the product of my reflection.

I have become indifferent.  While bearing children and caring for them during these early years, I have been left with little time for thoughts concerning the shell of what my body has become.  I need to regenerate… refresh.  Transcend.  CELEBRATE what my body has provided me and take care of it so that it is strong enough to provide for me in my older years.  As a woman, I am by nature a nurturer, but who will take care of me?  

So, here I am.  Seeking help… and READY!

Ready to reinvent myself.  Ready to find the person I once was.  Ready to get moving – in all the right directions.  I am ready to rely on the support of friends and to make ‘change’ my friend.  I eagerly await my new self to emerge.  I want to be healthy.  I want to be strong.  So, here I go – right now… At This Very Moment I am beginning my transformation to a stronger, healthier me.
